Opening a Bottle is proud to present its Virtual Wine Classes & Mini Clinics, a series of live events held on Zoom where curiosity and storytelling are the vehicles for wine education.
What Are They?
Each virtual wine class is highly visual with professional photography, videos with winemakers, in-depth maps, details on terroir and winemaking technique, anecdotes from the road, and an "ask-me-anything" approach to wine education. Past classes have included Barolo vs. Barbaresco, Pinot Noir in the Old World and New, Champagne at the Dinner Table, and Chianti Classico for a New Era.
Our mini-clinics are abbreviated to half an hour, and focus on a specific topics of concern for wine consumers, such as wine flaws and how to identify them, or tackling the unique challenge of selecting the right wines for Thanksgiving.
Wine classes and clinics are included with a paid subscription.
How Do They Work?
For each class, we provide a Study Guide to that category of wine. From there, you source your wines wherever you can, but we're here to help you if you need it.
At the appointed time, visit the class' Study Guide where you will find the Zoom log-in credentials. Subscribers also get the link and password emailed to them directly.
From there, sit back, get comfy, and have a wine glass in hand as we start our tour and class.
