Last October, I joined a press trip to Veneto with Wilson Daniels, the American wine importer. The trip took us to their Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia producers — Venissa, Villa Russiz, Bisol, Maeli, Dal Forno Romano and Buglioni — and we sampled the complex and rich local cuisine. As I often like to do, I extended the trip a couple of days on the front end, and enjoyed the wine scene of Venice and the unique pleasures of the Venetian lagoon. All of it, I documented with short video clips to take home. My wife Hailey, who is a talented graphic artist and production editor, threaded together this video of the experience.
