New Virtual Wine Tastings with Kevin Day

Join Me for Sessions on Nebbiolo, Valpolicella, Beaujolais and Prosecco

< 1 min read

Looking for something to do Saturday nights this fall? How about a vicarious trip to Italy or France through a glass of wine? Starting in September, I will be offering a series of monthly virtual wine tastings via Zoom, with tickets available through Eventbrite.

Wines are not included, but upon registration, you’ll get access to a buying guide with advice on what to shop for leading up to the tasting. And I promise you: shopping for these wines will be fun.

Each session will be a visual presentation telling the story behind a certain category of wine that I am passionate about — from Nebbiolo to Gamay, Valpolicella to Prosecco — and, most importantly, why these wines matter for curious wine drinkers. I’ll include anecdotes and insights from my visits with producers, offer guidance on travel for when this damn pandemic is over, and — most importantly — I will lead a tasting through a flight of three wines.

The schedule includes:

Tickets are $45 per log-in, meaning you only need one ticket per household. Funds raised will go toward Opening a Bottle’s editorial budget for paying contributing writers to cover new ground for us in 2021.

I hope to see some of you on Zoom next month.
