What they make: A fleet of ambitious and terroir-focused Malbecs, a wickedly good Malbec blend (“Tito”), a delicious Bonarda (“Emma”), Tempranillo, and a delightful Torrontes.

Why I’m partial: Each of Zuccardi’s wines are brilliant on their own. But sample two or three of them together, where comparisons can be drawn, and you begin to notice the precision of their craft. These are unmistakably Mendoza wines because that’s what winemaker Sebastian Zuccardi cares most about: place.
